That Night is the literature, thriller, fiction and tragedy novel which tells about the mass shooting in the city and the families affected by the trauma mentally. Amy Giles is the author of this classy novel. The mass shooting happened in the night at Queens, which brings more difficulties in the lives of people, especially for Jess and Lucas. They both are affected by this mass shooting and the author describes their stories parallel. Jess family is also affected by the mass shooting, his mother went into depression and she barely manages to come out from her bed and room. He is with his mother all the time, she needs the therapies and other medical treatments. While doing all this some of times they get the upper layer of their mode filled with resentment, anger and grief. He is the caretaker of his mom. On the other side, the parent of Lucas is over obsessed with the safety of their child. They were trying to protect every harm from their boy so he could start his new life. While Lucas still deals with the panic and PTSD attacks. His therapies are going better and he is doing the meditation to relief from internal fears. The story of Jess and Lucas is quite similar, they are digging deep to make their comebacks in life. This is a time when their lives starting better and they are just near to enjoy the lives as normal people do.
