While many sci-fi stories focus on the near future and many others use the far-flung future as the grist for their tales. That said, this is an epic saga worthy to be called sci-fi. The ageless drama of every aspect of the human condition wrapped in a vac suit and hauling loads of ice home to feed and fuel the 40 billion humans on the inner planets.
