In this book, the author explains the whole story of each woman is written by a different author and the chapters alternate but they mesh seamlessly into a story both historically interesting and with romantic intrigue. Sarah and John the two descendants of people on the Lusitania, research their ancestors and find their own romance. Caroline her husband Gilbert and friend Robert have their own complicated love triangle overlaid with political issues from WWI. Tess falls in love with Robert but has loyalties of her own to her sister who may or may not be a traitor. This is a wonderful read and just enough romance to make it enjoyable. It immediately from page one draws the reader in and the book proves itself in every respect to be entrancing, enthralling, believable, loaded with suspense, and utterly wonderful. The plot seemed choppy and the Lusitania is really just a backdrop instead of anything in the forefront of the story. The fictional characters were very interesting. The plot is fascinating and well written. We would highly recommend this novel for anyone who is interested in fiction.

The author switches between the two time periods effortlessly and easily which doesn’t always happen in these kinds of books. Each storyline had a richness that was only strengthened by the comparison and contrast to the other.
