Amal still wanted to be a teacher and she will do it at every cost. There happens the tragedy which never brings the new character in the novel the son of the corrupt landlord. Amal is going to work on the landlord house to pay the debts which her father owns from them. The “Written in the Stars” is a great novel that describes a great love story. Aisha Saeed is the author of this novel. Aisha Saeed, the author, made the chapters very short and it allowed the novel to feel fast-paced without being rushed or important details being overlooked. This novel tells the difference between arranged marriage, love marriage and forced marriage. This is a hard story to read. You know it’s not going to go well for her, but you keep reading because you want to be wrong. It also provides a lot of insight into the hidden world of arranged marriages in our contemporary world. As the author points out in her note at the end of the book, this is something that happens a lot more than Americans are aware. Sometimes it turns out great, but other times it’s horrifying, like what happens to Naila. The basic story is about Naila, a Pakistani-American who is secretly dating a boy her parents don’t approve of. When they find out, they trick her into visiting their family in Pakistan and force her into an arranged marriage. It was easy to feel outraged and totally on Naila’s side throughout the story, but the author also did a good job keeping the characters three dimensional and interesting.

The novel ” Diana and the Island of No Return” is an enjoyable story that moves along at a good pace. It is not too quickly, but at a pace that keeps the reader engaged waiting to discover the outcome. It has a satisfactory ending which is a little predictable but ties up all the loose ends. Some of the male characters are a little too good to be true but that doesn’t spoil any part of the story. The author switches between the two time periods effortlessly and easily which doesn’t always happen in these kinds of books. Each storyline had a richness that was only strengthened by the comparison and contrast to the other.
